DVI Cable
DVI stands for (D)igital (V)ideo (I)nterface.
DVI - Is the new emerging display standard that is mainly used in the computer display and projector market. On the world stage there are about 20 DVD players featuring DVI outputs and a number of flat screen Plasma and LCD TV sets feature DVI inputs due to their use in the computer industry. Our DVI cable range delivers a wide range of solutions and configurations that bridge the digital and analog worlds. Product that has a HDMI output can be displayed into the DVI input of a display device. A word caution: If you are buying consumer electronics (projector, plasma, and you want to future proof your purchase, ensure that it features HDMI or at the very least DVI. The product selection is limited on an international basis, though this has increased dramatical during the last year. We know you will be able to see the difference even if you have limited experience in projectors, plasma and LCD TVs etc between HDMI/DVI and analog sources like composite video, component video even in progressive mode.
Product Type
• Dual Link DVI supports 2x165 MHz (2048x1536 at 60 Hz, 1920x1080 at 85 Hz). A dual link implementation utilizes all 24 of the available pins.• Single Link DVI supports a maximum bandwidth of 165 MHz (1920x1080 at 60 Hz, 1280x1024 at 85Hz). A single link implementation utilizes 12 of the 24 available pins.• DVI handles bandwidths in excess of 160 MHz and thus supports UXGA and HDTV with a single set of links• Minimum clock frequency: 21.76 MHz • Maximum clock frequency in single link mode: Capped at 165 MHz • Maximum clock frequency in dual link mode: Limited only by cable • Pixels per clock cycle: 1 (single link) or 2 (dual link) • Bits per pixel: 24 • Example display modes (single link): • HDTV (1920 × 1080) @ 60 Hz with 5% LCD blanking (131 MHz) • 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz (154 Mhz) • UXGA (1600 × 1200) @ 60 Hz with GTF blanking (161 MHz) • SXGA (1280 × 1024) @ 85 Hz with GTF blanking (159 MHz) • Example display modes (dual link): • QXGA (2048 × 1536) @ 75 Hz with GTF blanking (2×170 MHz) • HDTV (1920 × 1080) @ 85 Hz with GTF blanking (2×126 MHz) • 2560 × 1600 pixels (on 30-in. LCD)
