We brought you news mere days ago concerning the launch of IXOS' range of angled-head HDMI cables designed to tackle tricky cable placement. Now Panasonic has released something not dissimilar with its Free Angle HDMI Cable.
Compliant to HDMI 1.3a standards, ably supporting Full HD 1080p playback, the cable is designed to be discreet without compromising on quality.
Panny claims the average HDMI cable requires seven to nine centimetres of space behind it - not ideal when wall mounting a big old flatpanel as close to the wall as possible. The Free Angle cable head rotates 90 degrees in either direction, reducing the clearance needed to just 3cm.
Frustratingly, there's no word on pricing, but this handy looking cable will be available in August in 1.5m or 3m flavours.
